The Eighth Empire is a military state located east of the Northrop Republic and one of the leading global powers of the Evolution universe. It is ruled by the royal house of Leopold. They believe in the divine right of kings. Crown Prince Eugene is the heir to the throne and future emperor. The Imperial authorities have been searching for Evolutia to tip the global military balance in their favor. Their territory contains a number of ruins which have been extensively searched for clues about Evolutia's location.
They have become known for their military practices including roughing up journalists like Miss Melon's friend. Their soldiers are often away on missions for extended periods of time without leave. In the navy the sailors live in minimal living conditions and are fed unappetizing food. As a result a significant amount of the military has low morale and question their personal ideology and mission. A large number however remain loyal to their positions as soldiers.
